His research interest is the restoration of endodontically treated teeth with a focus on dentin bonding following endodontic therapy.

Prior to his career in dentistry, Dr. Boehne earned international recognition as a surfboard shaper and designer.  He has been featured in articles in Surfing, Surfer and Transworld Surf magazines.  His surfboards are still distributed across the United States and internationally to Tahiti, Japan, Taiwan, Italy, and France.

Dr. Chu is a specialist of endodontics. A California native, he grew up in sunny San Diego and eventually traveled north, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Neurobiology from UC Berkeley. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where like Dr. Boehne, he received the Outstanding Performance in Endodontics Award.
